St John Ambulance is offering First Aid courses in English and Maltese. Courses in Maltese will start on January 12 at 6.30 p.m., running twice weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on January 13 at 9.30 a.m every Tuesday and Thursday.

A course in English will start on January 13 at 6.30 p.m. running every Tuesday and Thursday.

A course consists of nine two-hour lectures. The fee for the entire course is €35, which includes training material and certification. The courses are recognised locally by government regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Legal Notices and also by EU regulations.

More information can be obtained by calling 7944 8310 or 2124 5740. An application can be downloaded from or requested by e-mailing training@stjohnambulancemalta.com. Registrations will also be accepted in person on Tuesday evenings between 6.30 and 7.30 p.m., at 5, Independence Square, Valletta.
