I have just returned from my local post office where I posted a number of cards to friends and family in the UK. All the cards were in the 21-40 gram weight range which costs 67 cents in postage.

For some strange reason Maltapost do not have a 67 cent stamp but they do have one for 68 cents. I was offered the choice of buying a 63 cent stamp and four stamps of 1c, requiring me to lick five stamps and find enough space on the envelope to affix them. I opted for the single stamp of 68 cents, with the result that Maltapost made an additional cent profit per item. My question is: How many of these additional cents do they make from all the cards that are inevitably posted from Malta over the Christmas period?
