A man armed with a knife this afternoon robbed a 23-year-old woman of her handbag at Pieta' Seafront, the police said.

The handbag was found a short time later but a number of items were missing.

The woman was not injured but she suffered shock.

Magistrate Miriam Hayman is holding an inquiry.
