Campers & Nicholsons, a global leader in luxury yachting activities, this morning inaugurated their international offices at the Vittoriosa yacht marina.
Finance Minister Tonio Fenech welcomed the company’s decision to relocate their international offices to Malta. This, he said, was an important message for the country and reflected the interest there was in the yachting industry.
Campers & Nicholsons, he said, was more than a household name, it was a quality name which carried certain weight. And the fact that this name was attracted to Malta was a very important message which coincided with the government’s 2015 vision in line with tourism and investment.
Yachting, the minister said, was not just a recreation but also an industry. He hoped the company would continue to grow and explore the local opportunities for yachting.
Campers & Nicholsons chairman Nick Maris said the Grand Harbour marina, with which his company had been involved since 2001, was now recognised to be one of the finest in the Mediterranean.
“The yachting industry is an important industry - good for companies and good for people,” he said.
