A couple of weeks ago we had some friends over from England and as usual a trip to Mdina was on the itinerary.

While walking around we came across the newly opened Carmelite Priory Museum. We were encouraged to go in by a charming member of staff. It was an absolute joy going into what used to be hidden from the public eye. The whole restoration undertaken was a labour of love which has been carried out in a very professional, sympathetic manner. I could go on about the building, decor and artefacts but I do not wish to spoil the element of surprise that awaits visitors. The staff made the whole experience a delight and were a mine of information. The café and souvenir shop complemented the ambience. I recommend that everyone visit this extremely interesting discovery.
