The planning authority last month decided 507 applications and received 477 new ones, leaving a net pending caseload of 4,557 applications.

The Malta Environment and Planning Authority said it processed 106 development notifications, which did not require a formal application.

Mepa also issued 112 enforcement notices in November, of which 98 were in Malta and 14 in Gozo. During the same month, it closed 55 enforcement cases, 41 in Malta and 14 in Gozo. Another 34 were sanctioned by permit and 20 were resolved after the owners complied with the notice. One case was withdrawn.
