Guido de Marco autobiography wins award
The autobiography by President Emeritus Guido de Marco The Politics of Persuasion (Allied Publications) won first prize in the category for Non-Fiction Prose at the National Book Prize awards ceremony on Thursday.
Also placing first was Natalino Fenech's Richard Ellis The Photography Collection (BDL Publishing).
In the interview above (see video) Prof de Marco discusses the book, which, he points out, also charts an important period of Malta's history.

How wonderful! I have known Prof. Demarco since I was a child. He was a great friend of my dear departed father. Prof. Demarco has always been an inspiration for me. Cannot wait for my next visit to Malta this Christmas to get my hands on this book. Maybe if I am lucky he will find time to sign it for me. Thanks Prof. Demarco once again for this book.

WELL DONE AND CONGRATS PROFS. UNFORTUNATELY FOR PN, THEY DID NOT FIND A GOOD SUBSTITUTE FOR YOU. ARROGANCE IS DOMINATING THE PN NOWADAYS. YOU ARE A RESPECTABLE POLITICIAN. RESPECTED BY LABOUR SUPPORTERS TOO LIKE ME. THANKS PROF DEMARCO.

Well done Professor! A great statesman... had a long and respected career in politics at the national and international level... Winston Churchill once said that "A politician thinks about the next elections - the stateman thinks about the next generations" and this is what Prof DeMarco is all about...
