St Clare College last Thursday organised a prayer encounter during which 300 pupils from the college and others from the Maria Al Batool School, Paola, learnt about different religious denominations.

During the event, held at the Radisson Baypoint Resort ballroom, St Julian's, Bishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca, Anglican pastor Fr Jeffery Williams, Imam Mohammed El Sadi, and rabbi Reuben O'Hayon, spoke about particularities of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism respectively, including the concepts that both differentiate and unite the religions.

The event aimed to help the pupils acknowledge and accept people's religious differences, to learn to respect others, and to live together in harmony.
