Peter Calleya, head of research of the Institute of Financial Services, delivered a series of lectures to undergraduate and Master degree students of the Romanian Institute for Studies on Finance and Banking (ISFB) in Bucharest.

Mr Calleya's presentations focused on 'The Maltese experience after adopting the single euro currency and entering the Single Euro Payments Area'; and 'The international financial crisis and its implications for Europe from a Maltese perspective'.

This was the fifth series of lectures IFS-Malta has delivered at the ISFB under a cooperation agreement signed in 2006.

The IFS-Malta and the Romanian Banking Institute are discussing the possibility of extending cooperation to other areas.
