Birkirkara St Joseph race on December 13

The final race in this year's Birkirkara 5K Road Running Series will be held on December 13, starting at 9 a.m.

For the second consecutive year, Birkirkara St Joseph Sports Club will be organising the race on their town's heritage route, in collaboration with the Local Council and under the auspices of Athletics Malta.

The race will start and finish from near the Birkirkara Civic Centre, and will take runners five times round the town core, which will be closed for traffic during the event.

Following the first three races of the series, held during the summer months, Gerald Grech, Brian Magri and Drew Lang head the men's overall classification, while Giselle Camilleri, Carmen Hili and Joelle Cortis are the top three in the women's section.

Entry forms may be submitted up to 30 minutes before the start of the race.
