First call for quorum in this legislature
Parliament experienced the first call for quorum during this legislature.
The call was made by Labour whip Joe Mizzi during question time when nobody from the government side could tell whether Minister for Gozo Giovanna Debono, who was acting for Minister George Pullicino, was in fact abroad on government business. Mr Speaker Louis Galea suspended the sitting for five minutes.
However, the sitting resumed after there were more than the required 14 members present in the Chamber after the suspension.

A Parliament full of part-time parliamentarians who do not even attend for their part-time work and yet they still get get paid and get a 2/3 pension adjusted to the current salary while we lesser mortals never get a two-thirds pension.
How's that for discrimination practiced at Malta's highest institution?
