A delegation from Malta led by Malta’s ambassador to China, Karl Xuereb, has participated in the China International Travel Mart (CITM) held in Shanghai.

Participants from Malta included Air Malta and World Aviation Services, tour operators Alpine and Dream Holidays and hotel groups AX Hotels, Island Hotels Group and Intercontinental Malta.

Mr Xuereb said he was very pleased to see Malta participating in this fair.

“This is the second major outbound tourism event in China that these companies have participated in this year. I am pleased to note that their feedback is positive and encouraging.”

The same participants collaborated in the COTTM (China Outbound Tourism and Travel Market) between April 14 and 16 in Beijing.

China is the world’s fastest growing emerging market for outbound tourism.
