Putting the brakes on Għadira road (3)
The present Għadira road passes far too near the beach. It is not safe with the large amount of traffic that uses it especially when the vehicles happen to be fuel tankers and trucks loaded with several layers of gas bottles. A few years ago in Spain a fully loaded fuel tanker travelling on a road that was too near the beach overturned and caught fire with disastrous consequences for the people who were using the beach at the time.

Wherever the road accidents can happen.
Should we close all roads to fuel tankers because the vast majority of our roads are through built-up areas?
