Back to old splendour
A big well done to all those involved in the restoration of the stone cross which marks the demarcation of the limits of the church in St Francis Square, Victoria.

@Tony Stivala, maybe the Council has the hordes on non-Christians who roam the streets closer to its heart than your nostalgia for a cross that needs restoration.

Well done indeed, the Stone Cross is part of the village culture in Gozo, In fact I heard it on TV once, that in the whole of Gozo there are only two villages that do not have the stone cross in their piazza or anywhere in the vicinity of the village, and one of them is Sannat, which used to have a stone cross once, and which got demolished by a car incident. I wonder if I would live to see the restoration of this beautiful stone cross ever. I wrote to the Sannat council encouraging them to restore it, but of course I have been waiting two years for even an acknowledgement. Wonder who could help?
