Chelsea have reached an agreement with Norwegian club Lyn Oslo in their dispute over the transfer of Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel.

The Premier League club had taken the case to the High Court by filing a claim against Lyn and their former chief executive Morgan Andersen in October in an effort to recover the £16 million transfer fee they paid for the Nigerian.

Chelsea claimed the transfer was based on the "fraudulent misrepresentation that Mikel had an employment contract with Lyn".

A short statement on the club's website yesterday confirmed the matter relating to Lyn had been resolved out of court but figures were not revealed.
