BORG. On December 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELO (ex-Conductor, Mount Carmel Band Club, Gżira), aged 83. He leaves to mourn his loss his son Marjo and his wife Elizabeth, their son Kevin and his wife Michelle, his great-grandson Matthias, Sandra and her partner Jonathan and Janice, his sisters and brothers, Giovanna, Ġusi and George in Australia, his niece Carmen and her husband Joe, their children, other relatives and friends. The funeral takes place tomorrow. A cortege starts at 1.50 p.m. from in front of the Gżira Band Club. Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. at Gżira parish church, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

GALEA. On December 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, CECILIA, BPharm (Hon), aged 56, residing at Naxxar, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Richard, her children Gabrielle, Juliette and Marc Paul, her mother Maria Attard, widow of Joseph Arthur, her brother Philip Maximillian, her sister Dr Cynthia Paula Grixti M.D., in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow Wednesday at 2 p.m. for the Żebbuġ parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at the Qalb ta' Ġesu cemetery, Żebbuġ. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

GATT. On December 1, at Karin Grech Hospital, JOSEPHINE, née Bonnici, widow of Lawrence, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Beloved mother of her only son Laurence and his wife Maria, adored grandmother of their children Corinne and Daniel, dear sister to her siblings Joseph Bonnici, Anna Vella and Anthony Fedele, treasured aunt of her many nephews and nieces, and a caring friend. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital today at 3 p.m. for Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary, Żabbar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at Żabbar cemetery.

Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Pilgrimage on wheels

The Għaqda Briju San Ġużepp, Qala is organising a bike, motorcycle and carcade pilgrimage from Our Lady of Ta' Pinu National Sanctuary in Għarb to the National Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception in Qala on Monday. The pilgrimage will depart at 1 p.m.

Bazaar

Bazaar in aid of Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, at 49, Cathedral Street, Sliema. The bazaar will be open from tomorrow to December 6 from 9.30 a.m. onwards.

Ponsiettas for sale

Ponsiettas will be sold from the parvis of the Church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Sliema on Saturday between 4 and 8 p.m. and Sunday between 6 a.m. and noon.

Tea in Żurrieq

The St Catherine Musical Society is organising afternoon tea for Sunday at 2 p.m. in front of the society's club in Żurrieq.
