Palazzo Falson article runner up in travel awards
An article on Palazzo Falson by Penny Visman, a member of The British Guild of Travel Writers (BGTW), was highly commended and was awarded runner-up status in The BGTW Award for Best Overseas Project.
Ms Vismas visited the palace in a tour organised by the Malta Tourism Authority in January.
"We consider this an excellent result and are proud to have been the only European site to make it to the finals in this category of award, Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti executive chairman Maurice de Giorgio, CEO Michael Lowell and Palazzo Falson curator Francesca Balzan said during the awards dinner.
Chris Fenech, MTA Director for UK and Ireland said, "it is great to see these efforts being made by the private sector to highlight Malta's cultural offering and we are proud of Palazzo Falson's achievements and will support any similar ventures to enhance any other historical sites".
