Man critically injured in car crash

A 24-year-old man from Naxxar was critically injured early this morning when a Fiat Punto crashed into a tree in Triq is-Salina on the outskirts of Naxxar, the police said. The car was being driven by a 23-year-old woman from Zebbug who was injured.

The car was being driven by a 23-year-old woman from Zebbug who was injured. Her injuries are not life-threatening.

The road from Maghtab to Salina is currently closed because of the accident.

Magistrate Anthony Vella has appointed court experts to hold an inquiry. The police are investigating.
