A 35-year-old man from Guinea-Bissau has been charged with importing cocaine into Malta when he swallowed drug-filled capsules.

Henrique Nunes Correia pleaded not guilty to importing the drug and conspiring to deal in it on the night between Friday and yesterday. He was remanded in police custody but will be held at Mater Dei Hospital until he excretes all the capsules.
