@ George Cremona. What would you call the party that during its years in government provided more than 1400 jobs at the Xewkija Industrial Estate and employing practically the entire female Gozitan population? By the way do not forget the bet made by Minister Gatt, a Gozitan.

Let us all wish success to this new enterprise. Gozo desperately need high-value adding ventures and high-tech companies if their ever more educated workforce is to find jobs in Gozo.

The percentage of Gozitan graduates keeps increasing each year and a large number of them would prefer to seek employment in Gozo if the right type of highly skilled jobs were available.

Let us hope other companies will seriously o consider setting up offices there. Indeed I am surprised that as yet not more betting and ICT companies have considered Gozo as the ideal location for their online businesses.

I am very pleased to hear that at last the Gozitan's voice is echoed & heared over the maltese waves, i dear say most comments are read by local governments and people in power to create employment for the Gozitan youngsters that by all account the majority travell to malta by ferry in all weather and rough conditions to the place of employment. Lets hope in 2009 there will be more jobs and companies opening on this beautiful and tranquil island of Gozo. Good Luck Gozitans

This type of investment in Gozo is long overdue but at least, it shows that Malta Enterprise is re-focusing its efforts. It has been a long time since any substantial foreign investment, Pamargan, has been attracted to Gozo. For a long time, the Gozo Industrial Estate was a cemetery until policy was changed and factories started being allocated to non-exporting local companies.

I always failed to understand why Mosta Technopark was filled to capacity with the kind of companies which can operate successfully in Gozo and which will not be handicapped unduly by double insularity whereas such companies were not attracted to Gozo. Hopefully, this is not due to some prejudice within Malta Enterprise.

One trusts that additional investment initiatives are secured. At the same time, it would be wise if local investors are encouraged as well as it is not uncommon for such investors to fail to garner the right level of support with the result that they have to spend a lot of time and energy working their way through the local bureaucracy.

Well done. Such investments are ideal for Gozo because no or very little additional costs of double handling are incurred, besides that these are environment friendly. Hope that this investment would
encourage others like it to open shop in Gozo for the benefit of the Gozitan workers, for Gozo and Malta in general. Thanks to the PN which is again proving through facts that it is and will remain the party of Gozo.

Very good news for Gozo, particularly considering that the Island is relatively small. It's like having new factory in Malta employing 800. Gozitans should always be given the opportunity to find suitable employment on their Island. That would save them a lot of inconvenience and additional expenses.
