Autopsy proves inconclusive

The autopsy on an 18-year-old man found dead on Thursday was inconclusive, sources said yesterday.

The man was found dead by a family member at their residence in Birkirkara. But because the 18-year-old was suffering from a medical condition, the police were uncertain of the cause of death. Sources said that although pathologists concluded he had died from pulmonary oedema, the accumulation of fluids in the lungs, more tests were needed.

Blood samples have been taken for toxicology tests.
