Recognition for Senglea
It is music to my ears. How wonderful it is that Senglea received acknowledgement, with such a prestigious award, from the European Union Committee of Regions. Senglea won with a project on intercultural dialogue, which is very topical in our present times. What a great honour for the whole of the Maltese population, who I am sure would join in congratulating the local council and all the people of this at times forgotten historical city.

Well done to all the residents of Senglea and their local council. At long last to look beyond the horizon and be successful is encouraging, knowing too well that while the conservation of one's heritage is locally superbly cultivated, making a presence in the global village goes beyond the insular attitudes. The advantages that can be reaped may be numerous, both for the benefit of Senglea as well as for the rest of the Islands.
Well done.

It is music to MY ears to notice that SENGLEA is referred to by its proper name by all those who have commented on this award. Let's all strive to give the city back its official name and do away with the ridiculous isla(!) I for one never use isla when writing about Senglea and I urge all the Sengleans to do the same in defiance of those so called 'experts' who imposed the banal isla on us.
