Obituary
CALLEJA. On November 22, CHARLIE, passed away peacefully after a long illness, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Josette, his sons Jurgen and his wife Marcette, and Kirt, his daughters Alexia and Christa, his adorable grandchildren Noah and Miguel, his brothers, sisters, in-laws and their spouses, nephews, nieces and numerous friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated tomorrow at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. May God grant him eternal rest.
GALEA. On November 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, ROSA of Żabbar, residing at Xgħajra, aged 56, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Pius, her daughters Eleanor and her husband Simon Pace and Stephania and her husband André Seychell, her son Mark, her granddaughter Raquel, her brother Anthony and his wife Carmen Formosa, her sister Connie and her husband Charles Dimech, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3 p.m. for Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary, Żabbar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Żabbar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Żabbar institutes will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
Requiem Mass
Today being the second anniversary of the death of JACKIE MALLIA, née Mizzi, the 7 p.m. Mass at St Patrick's church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of her soul. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated.

Bazaar
Bazaar in aid of Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, at 49, Cathedral Street, Sliema. The bazaar will be open between December 3 and 6 from 9.30 a.m. onwards.

Paola coffee morning
The Paola local council will be organising a coffee morning and buffet lunch on December 12 at the Soreda Hotel in Qawra. Tickets cost €12, including transport that will leave the parish square at 9.30 a.m.
The local council will also be organising a party for children on December 27 at 9.30 a.m. at the Gallerija Cinema in Fgura. Attendance costs €4.50 and presents will be handed out.
Tickets are available at the local council's offices.
Free flu vaccine
The Health Division is again urging the public to take the influenza vaccine as the peak activity of the virus is usually after the New Year.
The Department of Primary Health is now offering the vaccine for free to anyone over six months old for a limited period only.
Those visiting health centres are reminded to take along their identity cards and immunization record book in the case of children.
Birkirkara Day
On the occasion of Birkirkara Day and Collegiate Day on December 5, St Helen's Reverend Chapter will be celebrating Mass at the collegiate basilica of St Helen at 6.30 p.m. Moreover, on December 7, the Filippu Borgia Society will be holding a socio-cultural evening at 7.30 at St Helen parish centre.
Cross Stitch exhibition
The Stitch in Time Club will be holding a cross stitch exhibition at the Catholic Institute, Floriana on December 6 and 7 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Garage sale
A garage sale will be held in aid of Fr Raymond Portelli's mission in Peru tomorrow and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Norfolk Street, at the corner with Dingli Street, in Sliema.
Baby Jesus exhibition
Rabat's L'Isle Adam Band Club will mount a Baby Jesus exhibition between Saturday and December 12 from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 8 p.m. at Palazzo Xara in Mdina.
