Suspended jail term for making fireworks without licence

A man has been sentenced to 15 months in jail suspended for three years after a court upheld an appeal by the Attorney General’s Office over a fine of €465. The man had admitted producing fireworks without a licence.

Anthony Caruana had been fined after he was found making and storing the fireworks at Ta’ Randa, limits of Mellieħa, on and before March this year.
