The Czech Constitutional Court cleared the EU's reform treaty yesterday, removing an obstacle to its ratification in the country that takes over the EU presidency in January.

The court ruled that the Lisbon treaty, meant to streamline decision-making in the bloc that has nearly doubled in size to 27 members in the past five years, is in line with the Czech Constitution, allowing Parliament to vote on the document.
