SmartCity briefs parents on future job opportunities

SmartCity Malta, in conjunction with the local councils of Kalkara, Xghajra and Zabbar, has held the first in a series of information sessions for parents on ICT and media career opportunities. The first group of parents were briefed about the future job opportunities, particularly in terms of ICT and media employment that SmartCity Malta will create.

SmartCity Malta intends to hold more of these meetings over the coming months to underline the opportunities that will arise in a short span of years as it develops.

SmartCity Malta CEO, Claudio Grech, said: “SmartCity Malta will create many opportunities for Maltese citizens to either start up a business at SmartCity Malta or seek employment in the ICT and media fields that will contribute to the growth of the Maltese knowledge-based economy. SmartCity Malta will also offer jobs in other sectors that are required to fulfill SmartCity’s balanced work-leisure lifestyle. These will include retail and recreational facilities, hotels, residential complexes, health and fitness clubs, meeting and leisure areas, social and cultural events, clinics, educational institutions and day-care centres.”
