Waiting for subsidy on computer purchase
I was just wondering whatever happened to the 16 per cent subsidy the government had offered at the beginning of the year to whoever bought computer equipment up to a value of €1165. I bought my equipment in May, sent off all the properly filled forms, never received an acknowledgment, and, to date, no refund of course.
A silent budget casualty?
Anyone received anything yet?

Both our children bought laptops in March and May respectively. So far, the refund for only the March payment came through - a few weeks ago. Either the money's run out, or they're still grinding through at civil servants' workrate.

About a month ago, I also enquired about the refund. After several attempts to call the number advertised, I got to know that the unit was transferred. Then I complained on the www.gov.mt website and within two days I received a reply that my request had been accepted and was sent to the VAT department to be processed. After four days from the original complaint I found the cheque in the letter box!

I bought my computer in July and pleased to say that I receive the subsidy this week. So if you completed the forms and are entitles I am sure you will receive what is due

...similarly to Mr Cardona I'm also waiting for the subsidy on the computer purchases as well as the Lm25 subsidy on the 'A' class air conditioning and washing machine!
Are we going to receive these subsidies with interest?
