Cohabiting before marriage (2)
Labour MP Owen Bonnici was quoted as having "asked if the time had come to consider encouraging young couples to live together for some time before they get married". Is Dr Bonnici living in 21st century Malta or in Cuckooland? As if today's youth need any encouragement to live together before eventually getting married - that is, if they get married and stay married at all.

Why isthis guy is always so negative in all his comments. Is it possible that he could not figure out that what was said referred to the present legal framework?

My guess is that Mr Bonnici meant that cohabitation must be protected by law because as you clearly said, no one needs encouragement to cohabit. What we lack is legislation which recognises such cohabitation.
