The bell-cot of the sanctuary of Our Lady of Graces in Victoria is being dismantled for restoration. The stone fabric of the structure had deteriorated badly and was in danger of collapse.

Fr Karm Dimech, guardian of the Capuchin friary that runs the sanctuary, said that the cost of the project was substantial and appealed for donations.

The original bell-cot was replaced by the present one in 1972.
