Obituary

ALDRED. On November 21, DEREK HARRY, aged 78, loved husband of Mary and father of Karen and her husband Scott and beloved granddad of Heather and Campbell and all his many friends in Malta, passed peacefully away after a short illness. There will be no funeral but a memorial service will be arranged later.

GRECH. On November 20, at Casa Antonia, Balzan, Major ALEXANDER A., known as Sonny, ex-chairman of the British Legion, aged 90 passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved May Pecorella, his sister Josephine Galdes, his only nephew Dr Joseph Grech Attard, his nieces Maria, Taziana, Helen, Anna, Veronica, Amata and their respective spouses and families, Sophie, Anna, Nancy, Josephine and their respective families, Mark, Corinne, Moira, Sylvia and their respective spouses and families. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia, Balzan tomorrow Saturday at 9 a.m. for the Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi will be appreciated. Special thanks to all the dedicated staff at Casa Antonia, Balzan.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Paul, her children Tony and his wife Grace, Gaetano, Rose, Anna and her husband Frank Dimech, Alfred and his wife Jacqueline, George, Pauline and her husband John Abela, her grandchildren Gordon, Christian, Josepha and her husband David Pace, Frederika, Paul, Loretta, Rebecca, Nathan, Sarah, her sisters Antonia and her husband Loreto, Karmena and her husband Karmenu, Iris and her husband Anthony, Emilia and her husband Carmelo, her brother-in-law Joe and his wife Rosalie, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves General Hospital today at 3.30 p.m. for Madonna ta' Loretu parish church, Ghajnsielem where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Ghajnsielem cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Fondazzjoni Arka will be appreciated.

MAZZOLA. On November 20, at his residence in Kappara, JOE, aged 52, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his mother Yolanda, his brother Dr Paul Mazzola and his wife Fiorella, his adorable nieces Francesca and Rebecca, his partner Joanne Scicluna and her daughters Paula and Petra and their respective boyfriends Manuel and Timmy, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves his residence today at 8.30 a.m. for Lourdes parish church, San Gwann, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
