Cruise passenger traffic last month increased by 14,535 over the same period last year to stand at 72,721.
Total cruise passenger traffic in the first 10 months rose by 16.5 per cent over the same period last year to 496,283. Of these, 77.8 per cent came from EU countries, the main markets being Spain, Italy, the UK and Germany.
The National Statistics Office said the rise was mainly the result of increases in the American, British and Spanish markets. A drop was witnessed in the German and Italian markets.
The largest proportion of passengers, 33.3 per cent, was made up of those aged between 40 and 59.
