A Sudanese man yesterday claimed he had been slashed in the neck with a knife by a fellow immigrant in Marsa.
The man, who sustained light injuries, told the police he was walking past a bar on his way to the Marsa open centre at about 3 a.m. when he got involved in a fight with another immigrant. He said the aggressor slashed him with a knife before fleeing.
The police said the victim walked to the Ħamrun police station to ask for assistance and an ambulance took him to hospital. He was found to have a superficial injury on the side of his neck.
