Buttigieg gets two-match touchline ban

Birkirkara coach John Buttigieg has received a two-match touchline ban after being dismissed from the bench during his side's 1-1 draw against Marsaxlokk last weekend.

Buttigieg was sent off by referee Alan Mario Sant for persistent protests during the first half of Sunday's Premier League encounter.

Also yesterday, four Premier League players were suspended for one match by the Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner.

These are: Birkirkara's Shawn Bajada, Marsaxlokk defenders William Camenzuli and Carlo Mamo, and Sliema Wanderers midfielder Roderick Briffa.
