Creative gifts and a live crib will be the highlights of a Christmas market that will be held on Sunday at San Anton School.

There will gifts to choose from and children will be able to meet their Christmas hero at Santa's Grotto.

A wooden stable has been purposely built as part of a live crib in the school picnic area, under a large carob tree. With the support of farmers, the stable will house sheep, lambs and a donkey to transform the area into a typical nativity scene.

Cookery expert and food writer Matty Cremona has been hard at work with the students and will be baking traditional festive sweets, which will be on sale on the day, together with the traditional imbuljuta.

The cast of High School Musical will visit the market in the afternoon and visitors will get the opportunity to meet the actors and also buys tickets for the production in Malta.

The market will be set up at the school's premises at Mselliet, limits of Mġarr, and will be open between 10.30 a.m. and 8 p.m.
