Spiridione Mercieca, the businessman accused of shooting dead his business partner in Qormi, this morning was granted bail against a deposit of €10,000 and a personal guarantee of €20,000.

Mr Mercieca was refused bail last month because more witnesses still had to testify.

He has pleaded not guilty to murdering Martin Scicluna at their office on September 16.
