Immigration discussed in Sweden
The influx of irregular migration faced by Malta was raised during a meeting in Stockholm between Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt and the Chargé D'Affaires of the Maltese Embassy in Copenhagen Paul Radmilli. While appealing for Swedish assistance, Mr Radmilli said that, this year, the percentage of arrivals in relation to the Maltese population would be equivalent to 60,000 if the same percentage were to be applied to the Swedish population.
He hoped the issue would form part of the Swedish EU Presidency agenda in the second half of next year.

Only those who continuously bury their head in the sand praised the voluntary burden sharing agreement as a very great victory for Malta and Dr CMB. As usual, time has shown that it is the greatest teacher.
@Igalea: The voluntary burden sharing was a sham. No volunteers and government got scammed again.
