Steve Camilleri has again hit the headlines for RN Bagliasco when he netted four more goals in his team's 9-5 win against SNC Civitavecchia last weekend.
The Maltese player is turning out to be his team's catalyst, both as a central figure in his coach's plans and also as a goal-getter. Together with his team-mate, the American Jeff Powers, Camilleri is a prolific scorer.
A report carried in the local Press in Genova and written by Italo Simonetti, said that Massimo De Crescenzo's Bogliasco registered a deserved victory over their opponents and the result has put the team in a comfortable mid-table position.
Simonetti said: "It was a clear-cut victory for Bogliasco, and even if without Jeff Powers, who was back in the United States for his sister's wedding, players like Steve Camilleri, Arnaldo Deserti, Roman Di Somma and captain Roberto Mannai, were instrumental in this latest success."
By virtue of his four goals Camilleri, who joined the Italian top division side from Neptunes last September, is the team's top-scorer.
