Shelter is basic
Karl Consiglio, Paceville
A sure example of complete incompetence and carelessness is that rain or shine, the bus terminus at the door to our capital still offers no shelter to the everyday public. Now need such obvious things be pointed out?
Comments
The area, like some other uncared for places in Malta, needs urgent attention. It does, however, reflect the ambiance of the bus drivers and gives a warning as to what one might expect if we use the once great transport service.
There are many 'little niggly things' that are wrong with Malta that the occasional tourist will accept as quaint, but to the locals and returning tourists are becoming a great irritant.
It would take little to spruce Malta up, but it seems that the authorities can't even manage a little.
With the world wide troubles and tourism in many places falling rapidly along with the rise in strenght of the euro/£ Malta must offer more value and smarten up.
I wish it well.
