Depiro were back to winning ways after the faulty start to their campaign with a victory over Empire Cinema Stunners.

Hibs had no difficulty to overcome St James Hospital. They hit back strongly after conceding the first points to go 24-4 ahead.

After a drab second quarter, during which very few points were scored, Hibs went in for the break leading 30-7.

The champions always held the initiative though and continued to dominate the match before finishing 68-15 winners.

After a shaky start, which saw Honey Athleta 14-13 ahead at the end of the first quarter, Luxol clicked into gear to change ends 32-19 ahead. Athleta tried hard to get back in it but Luxol kept their noses in front for a 55-35 victory.

Depiro had Sarah Pace and Rachel Camilleri missing. Still, they were good enough to beat Stunners who are without a victory so far. Charles Bonnici's Depiro took control after the first five minutes to lead 29-16 at half-time. Stunners did well to get back in contention but Depiro kept them at bay for a 44-32 win.
