Moviment Kattoliku Studenti Universitarji (MKSU) is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a number of activities. They range from values-promoting campaigns on campus, such as the annual peace activity which probes rampant issues in Maltese current affairs pro-actively, to socio-charitable events, including the Help Me Grow initiative, through which young people entertain refugee children.
The movement, founded by Giovanni Theuma and Michael Azzopardi in 1929, is also organising an exhibition open to young artists exploring themes ensuing from its heritage and a battle of the bands-style competition exposing creativity.
At the forefront of these activities is the publication of a compilation of articles penned by Maltese intellectuals and young people examining interactions between faiths and cultures.
A reunion is planned to coincide with the organisation's anniversary in April. For more information visit www.mksu.org.
