City and Guilds information sessions

City and Guilds, one of the leading vocational qualification awarding bodies in the UK, is organising two information sessions on Wednesday at SAS Radisson Baypoint Resort, St Julian's, one on its recently developed International Vocational Qualifications (IVQs) and the other on its International English Language Qualifications (IEQs) for its existing and future approved examination centres.

For more information or to attend these sessions call City and Guilds' local representative Intel-act on 7900 7273 or e-mail info@intel-act.com.

Meanwhile Education Minister Dolores Cristina addressed a two-day conference that City and Guilds recently held in Malta for its international sales staff, during which she emphasised the role of the awarding body and its qualifications play in shaping Malta's vocational education system.

Commenting on the decision to hold the conference in Malta, Intel-act said that besides discussing best practices in developing vocational education and further strengthening the sales staff's team spirit, it was to pay tribute and respect to Malta's educational history, during which City and Guilds' vocational qualifications and the country's skilled labour force were and remain united in a seamless whole.

It added that the awarding body seeks to preserve this relationship by continuously developing its vocational qualifications.
