BONAVIA. On November 14, at St Vincent de Paul residence, ROSE, née Muscat, born in Sannat, Gozo, resided at Tarxien, aged 73, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Andrew, her children Lawrence and his wife Claire, Charles and his wife Ruth, Marica and her husband Robert Gatt, her grandchildren Glen, Ilona, Andrea, Karl, Luigi, Katia and Giovanni, her brothers and sisters, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 9 a.m. for the Annunciation parish church, Tarxien, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at Tarxien cemetery. CASHA. On November 13, at Mater Dei Hospital, Capt. RICHARD CASHA, aged 74, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Fiona, née Cauchi Gera, his children Dr Anna Cassar and her husband, the Hon. Dr Joe Cassar, Christopher and his fiancée Charmaine, Dr Patricia Vella Haber and her husband Malcolm, his three grandchildren Fabrizia, Rebecca and Mattia, his sister Doris and his brother Benny, other relatives and friends. He leaves to mourn his loss his sister Ġuża, widow of Francis Sultana, his niece Ana and her husband Mario Caruana, and his nephew Joseph and his wife Norma. Lydia Caruana recital

Soprano Lydia Caruana, accompanied by pianist Elizabeth Leonardi, will be singing a selection of Czech and Maltese arias to mark the 90th anniversary of the foundation of Czechoslovakia.

The recital will be held this evening at the Hotel Phoenicia, Floriana, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic and the President and First Lady of Malta. Starting at 7 p.m., attendance is by invitation only.
