Mickey Mouse is coming to town

Santa Claus may be coming to town this Christmas but January will see Mickey Mouse putting in an appearance too.

The Disney Live! Mickey's Magic Show will be staged at the MFCC in Ta' Qali, promising a bonanza of colour, music and Disney's own classic cartoon characters, coupled with magic tricks that will entertain both young and old.

During the show, Cinderella's rags turn into riches as she magically transforms into a beautiful ball gown in a split second; Aladdin's Princess Jasmine levitates into the air without the help of a magic carpet, and the enchanted dancing brooms from Fantasia help sweep Minnie off her feet.

Mickey Mouse, the master magician himself, will also perform astonishing illusions along with Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter and professional magicians Brad Ross and Fred Moore. Other cartoon character appearances include the Disney princesses Belle and Snow White, Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck and Goofy.

Brad Ross' interactive style as a magician adds another dimension to the show as he invites children on stage to assist in the magic and become part of the show.

The show includes 15 performers; however the entire touring unit comprises some 40 people as well as six truckfuls of equipment.

This is the first time the Disney Live! is touring Europe but it has already visited 30 countries worldwide. Before coming to Malta, Disney Live! will be putting on shows in Spain and Italy, and after Malta they will be moving on to the UK and Germany.

A total of seven shows will be held between January 22 and 25. Ticket prices start from €25 and go up to €95 for VIP and front row tickets. Tickets will be on sale at the end of this week. Booking can also be made online on or through e-mail on customercare@disneylivemalta.com.

A ticket hotline will also be launched in the coming days. In December, ticket booths will be strategically placed across Malta and Gozo including Victoria, Valletta, Sliema, Mosta, Birkirkara and Paola. Precise details on the location of the booths will be announced soon.

I would like to see their faces glow with joy : My fantasy life? I can't imagine a thing I'd want to change. The past is a non existant bygone, and the future - an even more non existant dream, the younger the child the more non existant is all but the present.
Let them have fun. Life is too short :)
