Hibernians winger Clayton Failla has been named BOV Player of the Month for October, the second time the former St Patrick speedster has claimed this prize this season.

Failla, 22, has been one of Hibs' outstanding players in the 2008-09 campaign.

Last month, he produced a man-of-the match display in the Paolites' 3-2 win over Marsaxlokk.

Further recognition for Failla's strong performances on Hibs' left flank came last week when Malta coach Dusan Fitzel promoted him to the senior squad.

Emily Grech, manager at BOV's Paola branch, presented the Player of the Month trophy to Failla who took the opportunity to thank his team-mates for helping him win this award twice in the last four months.

Failla chose the Children's Cancer Support Group as the beneficiary of the cash donation provided by BOV in connection with this accolade.
