Hampshire teams make final

The Tedesco Stadium in Ħamrun recently hosted a Rugby Sevens tournament for youth teams. The competition was organised by Sun Dreams Travel in conjunction with the Malta Rugby Football Union. The sponsors on the day were Gasan Mamo.

Five teams took part, Hampshire 1, Hampshire A, Alligators, Kavallieri and Sharks. In all, 10 games were played and a total of 42 tries were scored.

The tournament was played on a round-robin format. The two teams with the best results made it to the final. This was contested by the two guest teams with Hampshire 1 beating their club mates 15-5.
