Tonnes of waste removed from Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq
The cleaning operation at Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq which followed the removal of caravans and other fixed structures last month has been concluded.
The Parliamentary Secretariat for Lands said that the cleaning was carried out by the Works Section within the Resources and Rural Affairs Ministry.
A total of 57 trucks of waste amounting to 1,093 tonnes were removed.

well done, now lets hope the site will be organised and no one will make the piece of land that they use their own, if it is to be marked as a caravan site. I suggest to keep the site clean a watch man should be appointed at the entrance to turn away any possible abuse. Whilst at it lets clean the White Rocks Holiday Complex it a horrible site for all the tourist to see when site seeing on the double deckers please take note

Well done.
Should the trucks and shovels move few metres away and start cleaning the rubbish tip which accumulated in the last years within the White Rocks complex?
This complex was turned into a ghost village after the government prepared a devlopment brief for this site years ago, The project never kicked off and the complex was devastated!

Maybe now is the time to give a good look at the White Rocks Complex area which has been turned into a dumping site.

Well done and let us have more clean ups.
However it is not only Bahar ic-Caghaq which requires a spruce up but the whole of Malta.
Perhaps we can use the long term social benefit receivers on community based clean up drives.

Shouldn't the caravans owners pay the bill for the removal of their mess???
This is the only way you're going to stop this nonsense.
Why should we pay for it with our TAXES.
