Four arrested in drug raid

The police are holding four persons for questioning after they were found in possession of heroin in Naxxar yesterday. The police said the arrests were made after they received information that drugs were being trafficked from a residence in the locality.

The police are holding four persons for questioning after they were found in possession of heroin in Naxxar yesterday.

The police said the arrests were made after they received information that drugs were being trafficked from a residence in the locality. The Drugs Squad raided the place after the police undertook surveillance in the area.

The arrested persons are aged between 29 and 36. The police said that in the case of the 36-year-old, a man from Naxxar, the number of sachets with heroin found in his possession indicated that they were ready to be trafficked. Investigations continue.
