Men accused of forcing two women to commit lewd acts

Two Sudanese men were yesterday charged with holding two women against their will to try to force them commit lewd acts. Walid Bashir Mohammed, 31, residing in Ħal Far, and Adam Salih Mohammed, 27, residing in Marsa, were charged with holding the women against their will and slightly injuring them in Marsa on Friday evening.

The first was also charged with sexually and indecently assaulting one of the women and resisting public officers.

The men pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them and Magistrate Giovanni Grixti ordered they be remanded in custody.

Police Inspectors Louise Calleja and Pierre Micallef Grimaud prosecuted.
