No-parking signs don't stop anarchy in Swieqi
Although we live in the heart of St Julians, but in a dead end road under the Swieqi local council, no one else finds the same difficulty that this neighbourhood has to deal with. The situation in Triq Santu Wistin is just ridiculous.
When will the neighbours live in peace and be able to get out of their garage whenever they need to? During the weekend it's like living in a jungle; cars on the pavements, cars on the junction box, cars parked behind our own vehicles in our own garage... this is what we have to deal with each and every day.
Although we have one sign stating it's a dead end, having the parking lines in yellow and a tow-zone sign near the junction box does not help. We still find cars parked preventing us from getting out of our own garage.
Can the council come up with a brighter idea other than having a tow-zone sign where no car has ever been towed?

I live further inside Swieqi, but also in a cul-de-sac which, owing to recent over-development (addition of flats with no possibility of garages and on another site the addition of four garages, rather than a communal garage with one entrance) has subsequently led to a reduction in on-street parking, resulting in a daily parking problem which is seriously exacerbated at weekends since we are so close to Paceville in much the same way you describe.
The Local Plans which were approved recently allowed and recommended for Residents' Parking Schemes in these areas, but to date we are still waiting for these to be introduced.
