Unfair burden on owners of big cars
Are houses charged for water and electricity by size or by consumption? We all know it's the latter, so why are cars not taxed the same way? Big cars which are garaged do not pollute. Like many people, I use a motorcycle to get around, and only rarely...

Big cars which are garaged do not pollute.
Like many people, I use a motorcycle to get around, and only rarely use my SUV. So why am I being punished with a hefty road licence? Many small-engined vehicles are so poorly maintained they emit more toxic and obnoxious fumes than much larger vehicles.
Common sense tells me that whatever fuel one consumes, it should be taxed and not have to pay to pay higher road licences. So taxing fuel consumption is a fairer and more logical solution to discourage waste and protect the environment.
Unfortunately, common sense is as rare as gold-paved roads and does not leave any profit.
Another unfair burden, all in the name of the environment.
